It isinevitable that The Simpsons is influencing kids, yet how terrible. Matt Groening took up attracting to escape from his difficulties in1977. At that point, Groening was working for the L.A. Peruser, a freeweekly paper. He started dealing with Life in Hell, a hilarious comicstrip comprising of individuals with hare ears. The L.A. Peruser picked upa duplicate of his funny cartoon and enjoyed what they saw. Life in Hellgradually turned into a typical funny cartoon in many free weeklies andcollege papers the nation over. It even built up a cultstatus. Life in Hell drew the consideration of James L. Creeks, producerof works, for example, Taxi, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and Terms ofEndearment. Creeks initially needed Groening to make an animatedpilot of Life in Hell. Groening decided not to do as such in dread ofloosing eminences from papers that printed the strip. Groeningpresented Brooks with an overweight, thinning up top dad, a mother with ablue apiary haircut, and three unpalatable spiky haired kids. Groening named thecharacters after his own family. His folks were named Homer andMargaret and he had two more youthful sisters named Lisa and Maggie. Bartwas a re-arranged word for whelp. Groening picked the last name Simpson tosound like the regular American family name. Creeks chose to put the30 or 60 second movements on between dramas on The Tracy Ullman Showon the ineffective Fox organize. Cast individuals Dan Castellaneta andJulie Kavner did the voices of Homer and Marge. Yeardley Smith (laterto star in Hermans Head) did the voice of Lisa. Nancy Cartwright didthe voice of Bart. Cartwright recently provided the voices for manycartoons, including Galaxy High, Fantastic Max, Richie Rich, Snorks,Pound Puppies, My Little Pony, and Glo-Friends. Tracy Ullman lateradded Cartwright to her cast. Creeks, Groening, and Sam Simon, TracyUllmans maker, needed to transform the Simpson family into their ownshow. Science report Essay Example Science report Paper Science report Paper Presentation: In this investigation, it is a redox titration technique to normalize an answer of potassium manganate(VII) by an iron(II) salt (ammonium iron(II) sulfate). Along these lines, the expression of redox is identified with the oxidation and decrease. Oxidation numbers depict the quantity of electrons the particle will pick up or lose during a response. Every iota in a condition can be appointed an oxidation number as per certain guidelines. Oxidation happens when the oxidation number of an iota increments while decrease happens when the oxidation number reductions. Potassium manganate (VII) (KMnO4) arrangement is normalized by titration against the ammonium iron(II) sulfate, FeSO4 . (NH4)2SO4. 6H2O. Potassium manganate is generally utilized as an oxidizing specialist in volumetric investigation. While the ammonium iron(II) sulfate is utilized as an essential standard to normalize the KMnO4 arrangement. In this investigation, ammonium iron(II) sulfate gems are the steady intensify that stay as strong in room temperature. Subsequently, the ammonium(II) sulfate arrangement is gotten by dissolving into the sulphuric corrosive, ideally oxygen. During the titration procedure, the ammonium iron(II) sulfate ionizes into iron(II), sulfate and ammonium particles. Be that as it may, just the iron(II) particles (Fe2+) are oxidized by the managanate(VII) particles (MnO4-). The accompanying condition speaks to the response: MnO4-+ 8H+ + 5Fe2+ Mn2+ + 5Fe3+ + 4H2O Throughout the analysis, there is no extra of marker. Manganate(VII) is an exceptional dim purple shading. In any case, there is a shading change of manganate(VII) to Mn+2, which is from dull purple to light pink. Toward the finish of the trial, the shade of the potassium manganate vanishes as it responds with the iron(II) particles. This is on the grounds that all the Fe2+ particles are completely responded, while the additional drop of potassium manganate arrangement will make the titration blend turn pink. Results: Description Mass (g) Mass of gauging bottle + gems 23. 35 Mass of gauging bottles 13. 65 Mass of ammonium iron(II) sulfate precious stones 9. 70 1. 2. Ascertain the mass of the potassium manganate(VII) particles KMnO4 in 1 dm3 of arrangement. No. of moles of KMnO4 = no. of moles of MnO4 = 0. 0005 mol Mass of KMnO4 = no. of moles of KMnO4 ? molar mass = 0. 0005 ? 39+55+4(16) = 0. 08 g Discussions: Redox responses are substance responses including oxidation and decrease happening at the same time. Subsequently, redox response is otherwise called oxidation-decrease response. The quantity of electrons lost and picked up in the both half responses must be equivalent. The fermented ammonium iron(II) sulfate, ionizes into iron(II), sulfate and ammonium particles. Manganate(VII) particles go about as the oxidasing specialist, tolerating the electrons. Consequently, the iron(II) particles, Fe2+, are oxidized by the manganate (VII) particles in corrosive medium. Thus, it has experiences decrease to become dismal manganese(II) particles, in which the oxidation number is diminished from +7 to +2. Decrease half condition : MnO4-+ 8H+ + 5e-Mn2+ + 4H2O Meanwhile, iron(II) particles go about as the lessening specialist, discharging the electrons to become iron(III) particles. In this way, each iron molecule has experienced oxidation, in which the oxidation number is expanded from +2 to +3. Accordingly, the shading changes from light green to yellow. Oxidation half condition: Fe2+ Fe3+ + e-. Since the manganate(VII) particle is dim purple or violet in shading while the manganese (II) particle is almost dismal, the endpoint in this investigation is controlled by the showing up of the light pink in the arrangement. The redox response of this analysis is spoken to by the accompanying generally ionic condition: 5Fe2+ +MnO4-+ 8H+ 5Fe3++ Mn2+ + 4H2O In request to get the measure of potassium manganate(VII) which is utilized to completely respond with fermented ammonium iron(II) sulfate, the underlying and last readings of the burette is recorded and rehashed multiple times, incorporates 1 for unpleasant perusing and another 2 for precise readings. In this way, the normal estimation of potassium manganate(VII) is determined to get an increasingly exact outcome. In the outline of this examination, 25. 00 cm3 of the fermented ammonium iron(II) sulfate required 26. 63 cm3 of the potassium manganate(VII) answer for response. There are some safety measure steps in this test so as to acquire the outcomes all the more precisely and decisively. During the procedure of the analysis, the pipette is flushed with somewhat sulphuric corrosive to expel water present inside the pipette. This is the best approach to keep the water from weakening the corrosive that is poured inside the pipette. Similarly, burette is likewise washed with a tad bit of potassium manganate(VII) arrangement. Plus, a bit of white tile that put beneath the funnel shaped cup is utilized to empower us to distinguish the end point unmistakably, which the dry arrangement changes to a light pink arrangement. Additionally, the eyes must be set at a similar level as the meniscus of the arrangement inside the burette so as to acquire an exact of starting and last readings. References: 1. Pride Found in Antigone - 951 Words
The different characteristics of different people can cause certain people to be negatively affected because of the actions they take. This is shown in Antigone, which is a tragedy about how pride can get the best of you and if law or moral code is more important. Sophocles showed the reader that not all the decisions made by people by his or her conscience because in hindsight it is not the most intelligent resolution. When Creon does not take the advice of Haimon or Tiresias he obstinately refused because he believed his thoughts were always correct. In like manner, Creon had no real reason to make the law against burying Polynices because no one in the country wanted it but him. Furthermore, King Creon did not go through with his law because Antigone wanted to die and his felt that if she died feeling that way, it would not feel that he would be pleased that his law worked. No matter who assumes major leadership, the abuse of power is inevitable because power always corrupts . King Creon believes that his power shows that he has superior knowledge over his family or his peers. This leads him to believe that he does not need to listen to their advice. Haimon realized after Antigoneââ¬â¢s arrest he should take his fatherââ¬â¢s advice because, ââ¬Ë...you are right...over this woman.ââ¬â¢ Haimon is intelligent enough to realize that his father is right. Integrated Business Management - Case Study of Apple Inc
Question: Discuss about the Integrated Business Management Project for A Case Study of Apple In. Answer: Introduction: The primary context of this task is to evaluate the concepts and strategies implemented by Apple Inc. by analyzing their business tools like industry analysis, competitive positioning, and sustainability analysis of the company. In relation to address these issues it is important to understand the strategy formulation in respect to historical context of the company. The recent approach taken by Apple Inc for introducing iWatch is another step taken by the company to increase their profit margin in market. An analysis of the approaches will be done and certain recommendations will also be provide. Historical evidence of Apples competitive advantage: In the early stage of business, Apple was not able to perform best in the market in the early stage in the market. The major competitors were IBM and Microsoft. Both PCs and soft wares of these companies were superior that what Apple had to offer to the consumers (Harrigan 2014). However, certain competitive strategies undertaken by the company has provided some competitive advantages to the company. These are: Horizontal and vertical integration: Apple has their own supply chain management that offers to set a pricing strategy of their without depending on external stake holders. According to the Porters Five Forces, five factors namely, supplier power, buyer power, competitive rivalry, threat of substitution and threat of new entry are the factors that hinders a company to earn maximum profit (Hesterly and Barney 2015). However, first two forces do not prove a threat for the company because they manufacture parts and other accessories for their product. Refused to license to other companies: IBM and Microsoft sold their soft wares to other computer manufacturing companies like Compaq, Dell, Lenovo; Apple did not take this initiative and denied to provide their license to other companies (Arndt et al. 2014). Premium price differentiation policy: One of the reasons behind the expensive rate of Apple products are their Premium Pricing policy. Apple has gained a high brand position in the market. People willingly spend more money for this brand. Loyal customers: Apple product-users get addicted to the exclusive computer soft wares and services like iTune, iStore. This creates a loyal base of customers who prefers to buy Apple products. Analysis of the reasons behind struggling in PCs: Early phase of Apple was not satisfying for the business of the company. Steve Jobs, often referred to as the soul of the company, was ousted from the company due to poor performance. Some of the reasons behind the struggling days of Apple PCs can be stated here: Cannot match with the speed of other computers: Other PC manufacturers like IBM, Dell, Compaq provide greater RAM and memory than that was provided by Apple (Lowers et al. 2015). PCs were shipped from other countries like Korea, China: There had been 56% shipment of PCs from other countries. This reduced the sale of Mac computers in the market. Demand for PCs increased in retail sector: It was seen that the demand for computers increased in the retail sector rather than corporate sector. As a result, companies preferred to buy low range computers for their petty day to day activities. Expensive: Mac computers were most expensive. Computers like Lenovo, Dell came with better features in a less price. Sustainability of Apples competitive advantage: In order to survive in a competitive market, it is indeed required to take initiatives towards sustainability (Barney 2012). Some of the sustainability factors of Apple Inc are: Devotes 9% of profit to Research and development: Unlike other companies that devote much less amount for RD, Apple devotes 9%. Manufacturing low cost computers: Mac mini was an approach made in this respect, selling laptops in $990. Running Mac computers on Intel chips: Steps were also taken to use the speed of the computers by installing Intel processors in Apple laptops. Development of programming soft wares like Adlus: Adobe is one of the important and most successful soft ware made by the company. Evaluation of Apples strategy for Apple Watch: Tim Cook, the current CEO of Apple has taken the initiative to mark its presence in developing Apple Watch. The concept behind the creation of the Apple watch is that apart from providing the basic function of showing time, the watch also offers some technical advancement. The Watch supports various functions when connected to an iPhone (Chang 2015). Users of the watch and iPhone simultaneously would be able to measure blood pressure, pulse rate and few other health related things. Another important feature of the watch is that it enables the users to transfer money via Apple wallet. An Apple Watch user can easily transfer his or her money using a credit or a debit card. Only by means of touching each others hand one will be able to transfer the money to others Wallet. Organizations like Starbucks, McDonalds and many others have also agreed on accepting money from Apple Wallet (Rothaermel 2015). Strategies that have been made for Apple iWatch can be stated here: Streamlining the supply chain of Apples product: This has made the company to manufacture its product in a less cost. Selling the product online: This approach is new and has been used for selling other products like iPhone. This has called for consumers around the globe (Dobbs 2014). Closed door policy: Apple never share their policies with other and very few people are trusted for discussion purpose. Recommendations: In case that the iWatch does not turn out to be a dog product for Apple like iTV, certain recommendations can be made to improve the product and the strategy. Product development strategy: The watch can be made battery operated rather than chargeable system. The watch must not hold the provision if connecting it solely to iPhone but must be available to be operated with other OS as well. Pricing strategy: The price of iwatch is $499, which is a high amount compared to other same products offered by Samsung or Xiao me. It is recommended to reduce the price. Conclusion: The task analyzed the competitive advantage and the sustainability factors that play the most vital role in shaping the business of a company. Apples approaches towards making better products have been analyzed. Strategies for iWatch has been evaluated and based on it certain recommendations have been made.
